San Marino Castle: This castle, also known as the Basilica del Santo, protected the 1,700 year old republic on the top of Mount Titano, and houses religious artifacts of the republic’s founder and is now the top point that attracts 3 million visitors a year, and costs 2 - 3 Euros to visit. This, along with the Chiesa San Pietro and other nearby churches, helps to make for a great vista.

Piazza della Liberta: Enjoy a great view of Montefeltro, La Rocca and the Church of San Francisco, as the Piazza della Liberta is a large square in the shadow of some of San Marino's most important buildings. With the Palazzo Publico, or Government Palace which dates back to around 1380, in the background, you can find the Statue of San Marino, and mingle on the cobblestones while enjoying an afternoon.



Park 'Em: There are no cars allowed in the city center - everyone must park and walk up to the plazas.
Views: Some of the views do not have protective railings, so step carefully and don't lean over too far.
Food: San Marino does not have a very independent culture from Tuscany, or Italy for that matter. Foods like pastas and olive oil laced salads with goat cheese and tomato are the norm.
