English Language Requirements for Carleton ::>>
For admission, you will need to demonstrate that your
knowledge and use of English are strong enough for studies in
an English language university.

Admission to an undergraduate degree program is based on
your grades in your previous studies, and in some cases specific
prerequisites and additional requirements such as portfolios or
auditions. At the same time, if your first language is not English,
you will also have to show that your English language skills are
strong enough to study in an English language university. You
can prove your language proficiency in a number of ways.

You can demonstrate your proficiency by showing you have
completed your last three years of full-time secondary (high
school) or post-secondary study in a country where the primary
language is English, and in a school where the curriculum and
the sole language of instruction is English (i.e., in an accredited
British, Canadian, American or Australian curriculum, or in an
International Baccalaureate program). Students who cannot
demonstrate three years in an English-medium school as
outlined must submit results from one of the English language
tests outlined in the chart belo
