What is one thing that you don't forget when traveling to a new place or country? As for me I always check out some nice collections of glass teapots, since I love collecting such. And also I never forget to buy some novelties for my colleagues so when I saw uniquely crafted glass teapots I immediately to purchase some for collections and some novelties. How about you?

Sanibel Island is still my favourite island/destination and exceedingly romantic with its natural, lightly developed beaches and relative non-commercialism. Sunsets, sea, sand, all that.

1.Plan in Advance. The further out you know your
travel schedule, the more time you will have to
watch airfare prices.

2.Be patient, but not too patient. If you’ve been
researching for a while and a good price comes up,
get it immediately.

3.If the price goes down, it never hurts to ask.
Sometimes you will buy a ticket and the price will
drop the next day. It doesn’t hurt to call the
airline and see if they’ll reduce your price. If
they wont, don’t kick yourself; it happens to
everyone: things go on sale just after you buy
them.

4.Consider the time of day that you fly and how it
will affect your total transportation cost. If you
can use public transportation to get to an
airport, make sure you don’t buy a ticket for 6am
before the subway has opened. (Likewise, if
someone can drive you, don’t buy a ticket that is
right in the middle of their work day). If you
hadn’t paid $20 for that taxi ride, you may have
been able to purchase a better plane ticket.....

Etc...

There are another tips you have to consider of
them..

The dictionary defines the word ‘habit’ as a recurrent, often
unconscious pattern of behavior that is acquired through
frequent repetition. Wherever we go, whatever we do, if
repeated, becomes a habit. From dusk to dawn, our life is
governed by certain conscious and unconscious habits that we
form. For example, getting up every morning is a habit, going to
work/school is a habit, eating 3-4 times a day is a habit; time,
place, and nature of activity may differ but the overall routinely
behavior can be easily termed as a habit.

A very famous saying which goes, “first we make our habits, then
our habits make us” clearly states how well our habits define us.
They can also be very crucial in leaving first impressions, even
when we travel. Just imagine, you go to a country and on the
basis of your (good) conduct, the natives judge the country you
represent. Isn’t this what every native does? When you see a
traveler/foreigner in your city, going by their appearance,
behavior and demeanor, you tend to form opinion about them
and their fellow countrymen.

Bewildered? Recalling any mistakes/errors you made, having a
tongue in cheek moment? Don’t worry, we all make mistakes but
being humans we have right to use ‘second chances’. So the next
time you feel the urge to fling away that coke can on the road,
just halt and take notice of who’s shooting a ‘i-judge-your-
country-when-you-do-that’ look to you. And if you’re a risk-
avert, waste no time and say hello to the following ‘7 essential
responsible travel habits’:

1. Love your gadgets: To capture timeless moments on your
travel a digital camera can be an eco-friendly option as opposed
to using conventional cameras; as the former helps reduce e-
waste.
2. Stick with your belongings: While it’s only natural to be
tempted to shop during your travels but think about this, how
would you like it if you could utilize your vacation period in
exploring your destination rather than making frequent trips to
the market. It also saves you a lot of bucks. So, the next time
you plan a trip, remember to carry as much of your belongings
as you can.
3. Browse a little: Don’t forget to do a little research about
your destination. There’s not much you need to do, just look out
for famous attractions, historical monuments, nearby markets
and a few local jargons. This little info will always came in handy!
4. No ‘devil-may-care’ attitude: It’s true; those who don’t care
about littering around are actually conceived as devils. After all,
don’t we feel something similar about the culprits when we spot
someone quietly flying away wrappers outside the moving car
and how it comes blinding the view of the one behind?
5. Be friendly: Friends made on travels are usually cherished
for a long time, whether it’s a local or a fellow traveler. Smile a
little, cut loose and set free, and who knows, you may just end
up talking about something common.
6. Pay for your CO2 emissions: It may sound new and strange.
But offsetting your carbon footprints using a funding program
can be an interesting way to make your travels more memorable.
For example, a round trip from Singapore to Canada releases 4.3
metric tons of carbon emissions. With the help of an NGO (there
are plenty), you can plant a tree in the place you are going to or
your hometown. Everytime you recall that trip, you will only be
more content every year by the thought of planting a sapling
which by then would have grown into a fully matured tree,
cleaning and greening the environment.
7. Lastly, the most important habit, and that is…..just ‘break
free’….that’s the best attitude to carry. When you’re being
yourself, you would actually end up being nice to everyone
around you. Tough to believe? Just give it a try!

No tough rules, no hard laws, just a few essential points that
when followed frequently, will definitely become your second
nature.
